Without reservation, I can say that this is one of the best bikes anyone could possibly own. I have been biking extensively all of my life. I have had some very good bikes but never a single speed adult bike. The OSO that you created is so superior to other bikes that I find it funny that anyone would consider comparing it to anything out there. You can't. It is simply that good. If you don't recognize that, then you haven't ridden enough bikes. Returning to a coaster break, like the bmx bikes that I road as a boy, was like a light bulb going off; why in the world did we ever leave them? Austin is hilly, very hilly and I speed past geared bikes right up the hills. The fact is that the 120lb pressurized tires that are perfectly sized, make it easy. The coaster brake makes for a super quite ride as you don't have the ticking from the rear hub.
I biked past Lance Armostrong's bike shop yesterday, here in Austin, on my OSO and thought of all the bikes in that fancy shop that would never compare and probably cost 4x as much. Don't buy one and you will never know how wonderful life on a bike can be again.

Shane,I just wanted to tell you that received my new bike today, I Jumped right on assembling it and 15 minutes later I was out cruising! I Didn't get to ride as long as I would have liked because of sunset, But can honestly say out of all of the bikes I've owned this bike is so much more fun than any of them. I used to own $ 3000.00 road bikes and loved them but it always seemed like a hassle to get my clipless shoes on or change pedals for the quick rides to the point where it took alot of the fun out of riding. I always wanted a simple bike like this but never liked the idea of a fixie and hated to have to put ugly brake cables on a simple bike. I'm glad I discovered the Oso Bike and I know this is a bike I will have for a long time. I kinda thought I'd want to change some components to kinda customize this bike but after I got it the quality is very nice and I don't want to change any of it! I'm even planning on riding it on some century rides this coming summer. As a satisfied customer I'll do the best I can to get the word out about your bikes. Thanks for making cycling fun again, and good luck.--Phil Kratz, Aviation mechanic and former bike shop employee, Lewes, DE

This frame is easily the stiffest steel bike I've ever ridden, and that's saying a lot. I've got two handmade steel frames in my personal fleet, one Italian and one Japanese. Neither of them can hold a candle to the OSO in terms of getting pedal power to the rear wheel. To put it bluntly, this bike is really fun to haul ass on - get out of the saddle and start thrashing and this bike responds instantly. I found myself sprinting a lot during my commutes!.--Jack Sweeney, bike tester and commuter, Tampa, Florida

This Osobike  is awesome.  It's real light, I enjoyed it. Theres a lot of speed to it. And I just hope I can go ahead and get myself one because I really enjoyed it. Se siente bien padre [That's Spanish for "it feels really nice"].  That bike pretty much takes off on its own, you don't have to put that much effort into it. Its good, its real smooth.  This kind of bike would actually encourage people like me who don't like to exercise to go out  there  and get some bicycle exercising done --Maribel Trevino, Housewife, Laredo TX

It's nice and rigid. I like the rise bar. The rise bar seems to be at a real nice aerodynamic position. It's like I got a rise bar and aero bar  all in one. It seems to me that its a pretty  aggressive bike--nice and rigid. As far as it's crank efficiency, I'm getting all of it. I like the initial response. I wouldn't mind paying at least five or six hundred. I like it, you can't beat the weight.--Omar Canizales, Cyclist, Laredo TX

It's real stable. I tried riding it without my hands and it had good balance. It's definitely nice and light weight.  Seriously, this is a nice bike. It's simple--not  of a lot of bells and whistles. And it stops the old way of stopping a bike. [when asked how much he thought people would pay for it he said:]   I'd say between $800 and $1200. The thing about it is it's well built. Surprisingly it's made out of steel and it's still light weight. The contours up here are pretty nice. It's got really nice features. If you fall off of something like this, you scratch the paint,  that's about it. I'm just really seriously amazed that it's light weight. When I first started going around a corner I almost popped a wheely  because it's so light.--Paul Foster, Teacher, Massachusetts and Laredo.

I bought two bikes and they arrived. Great product and a lot of fun. I am a big fan of your bikes. --Jeff Leventhal, Huntington, NY

Dear shane,The bike is great! Thanks so much for everything. I put it together last night and took it around town. The ride is really smooth and I turned a couple heads. The coaster brake is great, in my opinion. good luck with everything!--Yopokey, Ebayer and Student, Austin, TX

We paced off a 130 foot "stopping area" . Getting up to a speed of 17-19 MPH, our 200 lb. tester was able to stop without skidding or using the front brake in less than 60 feet. With skidding, the stopping distance was even less. At no time did we feel that we wouldn't be able to stop in time when needed. My other "guest tester", Steve Swiger (200+ lbs. of all-American man) also reported no gripes with the braking performance of the Oso.--Jack Sweeney, bike tester and commuter, Tampa, Florida
